Martin: Chris Koster has no national endorsements

In this news release, Ed Martin's campaign crows that its candidate has no national endorsements. And all of this time I thought the two men were running for attorney general of Missouri, not the nation. The news release is printed below.

Historian, author and pastor David Barton has joined the chorus of prominent national figures in support of Republican Attorney General nominee Ed Martin.

Barton announced his support in a statement released Thursday:

"Ed Martin is a God-fearing patriot who firmly believes in the principles espoused by our founding fathers in the Constitution. As the Attorney General of Missouri, Ed will be a tenacious force for liberty. Ed will stand up and fight back any time the government steps beyond its Constitutional authority. I ask Missourians to recognize the blessing that Ed Martin can be for the state, and join me in supporting Ed Martin for Attorney General."

"I am honored to have the support of Pastor Barton," Ed Martin said. "Pastor Barton is a friend, a great patriot and a fighter for the conservative movement. His support in this race means a lot as we work to fire Obama's Lawyer and bring integrity back to the office of Attorney General. With Pastor Barton's help, we will stand up and fight back for the people of our great state beginning in January 2013."

Barton joins a list of other high-profile figures to support the conservative Ed Martin for Attorney General. The list includes Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, Texas Governor Rick Perry, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, former Missouri Attorney General, Governor, and U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, and former Missouri Attorney General and Senator John Danforth.

Meanwhile, Obama's Lawyer Chris Koster has no prominent national endorsements.
