UPDATE: This incident was determined to have originated from a reported robbery in the Hardee's Parking lot. During the robbery, a window was broken with a pipe, resulting in the reports of shots fired. Two males fled on foot westbound, over the privacy fence. After a K9 track was done two males were located in a residence and were detained as the two possible suspects. Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident at this time. Again, there is no danger to the community at this time.
There are several Facebook posts about an alleged active shooter on Range Line shooting from a vehicle, resulting in our 911 center being flooded with calls.
Our officers responded to Hardee's, 812 S Range Line in reference to a shots fired call. There were no signs that any shots were fired.
At this time there is no known threat and no shots are confirmed. Please call 623-3131 if you have saw something related to these reports.
Again, most importantly, there is no reason to believe that there is any danger to our community.
