Ron Richard: We have done things that I have never dreamed possible

Sen. Ron Richard must have seen a different 2017 legislative session than everyone else in Missouri.

Following a session where ethics legislation went by the wayside, Missouri was still left as the only state that does not have prescription drug monitoring, and the only accomplishments were petty attacks against unions and those who have legitimate complaints against businesses, Richard saw only positives as you can see in the accompanying video.

"We have done things that I never dreamed possible," Richard said.

"It's the greatest success of any majority in the history of the Senate and the House."

You have to give Republicans credit. They have convinced working people to vote for pro-corporation candidates that are working to limit workers voices. Anyone remember the layoffs at Eagle Picher after they voted out the union? They are more concerned with who is in the stall next to them. They are now convinced that Latinos stole their jobs, but never question who hired the Latinos at a cheaper pay rate. Workers in Missouri do not question why Corporations are paying so much to keep the last 10% of union employees quiet. To call it anything but brilliant is a mistake. Even Mr. Richards is amazed at the success of this strategy. Hats off to them.

I don't give Republicans credit for anything other than their successful prostitution to business interests. I blame an ill-informed electorate. How else do you explain the fact that since 47% of the general population is on some form of government assistance, that SW Mssouri votes 70% Republican? These people are voting agains their own interests, how informed is that? The fact that the US ranks 31 out of 34 nations in voter participation is pitiful. 300 million in the US and only 63 million voted, not even 60% of the electorate. I submit that many in the electorate belief that our country is ran by oligarchs, and that any politician is subject to the demands of those elite. The Republicans have sold their soul to these oligarchs, while Democrats claim to represent the people, but still yield to some business interests. We are witnessing today the Republican effort to lead with a traitor at the helm, a businessman whose only interests are his own. I remain hopeful that people will rebuke the Republican effort to take this country backwards in 2018.

That's why working families are being left behind. Vote for the party before country repubs and make the 1% flourish. The ignorant in Missouri that keep voting these fools into office will soon find out when they can't get insurance, jobs pay little better than minimum wage and they lose their Medicare and Medicaid. But I will guarantee you, the repubs in congress won't have to worry about their pay or health insurance. The lobbyists make sure of that. Just asshole Blunt about that....I mean ASK OLD BLUNT about that. Sorry for the Freudian slip.

Us paint chip eaters have been deprived of the real thing ever since the EPA and bogus lawsuits.

Nothing else has the sweet taste and long lasting buzz that genuine lead paint has.

Looking forward to the reich wing emvironemntal rules rewrites and getting back to what the founders originally intended. Like eating the genuine thing!

Also can't wait until they let the markets work up by putting lead back in gas so I can burn the real stuff in my smog deleted pickup!

Until then I'll be roaling coal with my F350 like a Beijing summer temperature inversion!!!

In 27 months Anthony Weiner will be out of prison; he will be a good Presidential candidate for you since Bidens too old, and hopefully Hillary finally gets locked up; now that the nut case FBI director is gone, and Loretta Lynch can't meet Slick Willie at the Phoenix Airport, and obstruct justice

In 7 months your so called president will be in prison for obstruction of justice. They can put him next to the cell with his treasonous butt buddy Flynn. When the party before country repubes decided to go morally and ethically bankrupt along with their hypocrisy, they showed the rest of the country what they really are. Top 1% puppets.
