Politico: Hawley kissing up to Steve Bannon for support in race for McCaskill seat

Fearing that Steve Bannon is going to support Ed Martin for the GOP nomination for U. S. Senate next year, Attorney General Josh Hawley has been kissing up to former presidential strategist Steve Bannon, according to a Politico article.

Hawley called Bannon recently, the article said:

On the call, Hawley reminded Bannon of their mutual friends, including the Mercer megadonor family, which bankrolls much of Bannon’s political work. Hawley met with Robert Mercer last fall when he was running for attorney general, one Republican close to Hawley said. Hawley also mentioned Club for Growth President David McIntosh and conservative legal expert Leonard Leo, who advises President Donald Trump on judicial nominations.

Hawley’s allies in Missouri are worried Bannon — who is recruiting challengers to incumbent Republican senators around the country — could back former state GOP chair Ed Martin, now a prominent Trump surrogate, in a primary. Martin said in a text message that he was still looking at a run.

The article noted that Hawley has the support of former state senator and noted opponent of public schools Jane Cunningham, R-Chesterfield.

"But a Buzzfeed News investigation has found that Breitbart didn’t just tolerate those white supremacist views that Bannon denounced on 60 Minutes; it actively allowed them to flourish. One of the key figures in the investigation was provocateur Milo Yiannopolous, a former senior editor at Breitbart, who was a link connecting far-right trolls and white supremacists with Steve Bannon and Breitbart’s powerful allies, like hedge-fund billionaire Robert Mercer."

You lost me at "Buzzfeed News Investigation"
Thinkprogress.org is as much left-wing propaganda as breitbart is to the right-wing.
Follow the money on sources. It's a shame that real journalism is gone.
(No offense Mr. Turner). You're one of the decent ones.
