RESOLUTION NO. 2018-005

A RESOLUTION declaring that the unlawful distribution of prescription controlled substances has created a public nuisance and a serious public health and safety crisis for the citizens of Joplin, Missouri; and authorizing the City to join in a class action lawsuit against opioid manufacturers

RESOLUTION NO. 2018-006

This Resolution allows for the Police Department to apply for three (3) grants through MODOT for the enforcement of DWI laws, as well as training and equipment to further our effort in reducing DWI crashes, as well as reducing crashes involving hazardous moving violations.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin to enter into a supplemental Transportation Alternative Funds Program Agreement (TAP 3205-704) with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the construction of the St. John's Blvd. Trail project in the City of Joplin; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute said supplemental agreement for and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.
